One winner and hit a few posts…

The farce at Riccarton robbed us of a few potential winners I feel, let’s see what we got from the other twenty from the book…

Just the one winner, but a good ‘un! Rondino (3 units ew) got up at $11.50/$3.10, Schiller booting him home nicely even though he was up in class. One to watch.

Beyond that, we hit a succession of posts, thirds for Visinari (4 units ew) at $1.70, Democracy Manifest (4 units ew) at $2.10 and World Charmer (2 units ew) at $5.00.

Demurral ($2.50) and Gorush Lightning ($4.00) both ran seconds.

Just the two from the book today, and you’ll have to wait for the last two in Tassie for it, but could be worthwhile for a couple of big odds runners, maybe hook them both into an EW multi…

Returns after 10 months, and this fella has run in some big events on the mainland in the past, so he has class. Down in grade for this, good course and distance stats, great first up stats and a 43% win strike rate. Pires jumps onboard, as he was for a couple of recent trials, and if he’s anywhere near right, he’ll go well here. $7 is juicy…

On the face of it, his form over the past year doesn’t stack up for this, and he was at big odds on his resumption here 12 days ago after a three month break. That run will have brought him on, he’s a back-marker, so watch for him late in this, $21 available… If you’ve got any cash left after yesterday, back him EW and inl=clude in exotics too…
