Race 2: MOIRAS TOWN won three in a row and has done precisely nothing in the next three. Does back to her fav distance today, but will need a good ride from Bridget to figure at $31…

Race 3: CASTLE BAY had impressed at the trials before her last to first win at Puke in December. Has run twice here since, the last one being a second at SP $21 for us last month. Watch for her descending late… $3.80 on offer…
BET: 6 unit win
Race 5: AQUAOIR blitzed home from the back to win by 2.3 lengths at Hastings in December, and has since run a close third and fourth, the last one at G3. Drops significantly in grade for this, and back to her fav distance. Chance at $12
BET: 3 units ew
Race 7: Two in this, RIDGEVIEW CHIEF ($12) and GAGLIARDI ($31). RC boomed home for the win in September and has since won again for us ($8.50) and placed twice, the last one a third place to the much-fancied Miss Cartier. Gagliardi was an on-pace winner two back when she bolted in at Tauranga. Back to 1200m should suit.

ECHUCA
Race 4: LUNAR HERO drops in class for this, has been very consistent in recent runs, and will run fav ($2) in this small field. Unbeaten here.
BET: 6 unit win
Race 5: NUMPTY has been runner-up in three out of her last four and can oblige again today at $7.50. In the same race we have SUPER QUICK LOVE who return from nearly 5 months in the paddock. Won two on end in July/August, followed by a $21 SP second for us in a FMB70 events. Went backwards after that, and will need to improve sharply to figure here at $81…
BET: Numpty 4 units ew, SQL 2 units ew
Race 7: EMBOLISM was nothing flash on resuming and looked like he needed the run. Drops 5.5 kgs from that run, and can do better today, $3.50 on offer…

CLARE
Race 3: EFFORTKAT got up for us at Pt Lincoln two back but has struggled since. $7 on offer today, may run a place but needs to lift.
BET: 3 units ew
STONY CREEK
Race 7: The ex-French runner VARDANI was amazing at MV last time out, running wide at the last bend and scampering home under Johnny Allen to win, not an easy task at the Valley… That makes him my Best Bet today at $3.20.
BET: 10 unit win
COONAMBLE
Race 6: ABSOLUTE LEGEND resumes after a 5 month spell and finds a winnable race. Back in grade, she backable ew at $4.60/$2 (365)

Race 7: FOX SPIRIT will go round as the outsider in this, but her last two runs have had here less than 2 lengths from the winner at big odds. Can place here today, $51 looks juicy…
