Intriguing start to the day here, Mr Invincible was impressive on debut, backed into fav and duly delivered. Step up today obviously, but placed to go on with it at $5/$2. Former Kiwi Bifrost will be giving them a start, but back up to 1100m suits, watch for him late at $8.50/$3. And Cosmic Rhapsody gets Yendall back onboard, good stats for this, although he does tend to mix his runs, another around the $8.50/$3 mark…

The former-HK gelding didn’t set them on fire up there but has been consistent since turning out in Aus this prep, with a win and two seconds from four runs. Presents here as an $8 shot, and can dominate from the pole position draw.

Drops in grade a touch after his close last-start third here. One win from 31 starts makes it hard to back him as a $4.40 second fav, so it’s a small ew bet…

She beat some of these home last week with a great late run, just missing to finish second for us. Up to the mile will suits, and though she’s a 24 race maiden, has a chance to fix that today at $6.50.

Caught the eye winning at Ascot last year then had a couple of spells in the paddock. Resumed last month after nearly 9 months to run fourth, and can run a place here under Azzopardi at $17…

Couple of chances for us in this, both of them competing in the same race at Scone last time out, with PG running a handy fifth, while Proost was a couple of lengths away in tenth. She’d notched up three in a row in Oct/Nov, and Benny Looker sticks onboard. At $4 and $5.50 respectively, they’re live chances in a tight betting field…
