Race 6: DR COPPER strikes his best range and going today, and given his racing pattern, the extra ground could suit today. Couple of plain efforts on resumption, and up in class a touch today, has a good place record (56%) so could find one today at $23…

Race 5: VAHASH was spruiked and backed in back in August at Ballarat. Has stayed in this grade (BM64) since without repeating but gets back to his fav 1400m today and is 2/3 on the soft. Backing up after running at Pak 10 days ago, and if he gets to the front as usual, he could give them something to run down in a small field at $4.60.

PORT McQUARIE
Race 5: GOLDEN FANTASY and SAINTLY SUNRISE contest this one… GF noted clearing maidens in some style in May last year and subsequently wasn’t too far off in four runs before heading to the paddock for nearly 8 months. Returned here a month ago with a nice second after her usual front-running tactics, and given she’ll have needed that run is a good ew shot today at $6.50. SS is well-related and has placed 2/3 first up. Was noted finishing his last prep in August with a powerful run from last to finish a close fifth, and was noted as next-time… We’ve had to wait 8 months for that, but if he’s forward enough he can also run a place and spice up exotics…
BET: GF 4 units ew, SS 2 units ew, include both in exotics…
SUNSHINE COAST
Race 8: WINSTON BLUE has been going round at big odds since noted winning here in October. Seems to have decent finish in him, so if he doesn’t get too detached, he could run a place at $21…

Race 6: LANDMINE was noted back in August and has since run some good races for us, a couple of nice places at odds, and a win here in Feb at $12. Likes it here, good stats, likes the distance, not sure about the heavy but he could blow them apart with his big finish at $5…
