A win and four placings
And here we go again, Ruakaka abandoned after four races, and this is in the middle of summer! Can only assume that rain on hardened tracks turns them into a skating rink, and of course the safety of both horse and jockey are paramount, but nevertheless, a little frustrating for the punter… No doubt it’ll all come under review fairly soon…
So a couple of ours involved in that, leaving us eleven from the book, star of the show being Possibly So (4 units ew), who timed his run to perfection to get up by a nose at a very nice $8.90/$1.60…
Couture (4 units ew) got up for third at $2.00
We spruiked up Jet Jitsu and Mingora as 4 unit ew bets, and they duly ran second and third at $1.50 and $2.10. We also advised using them in exotics with the fav, Come Along Jeffrey, which produced a $40 trifecta and a $120.40 first four.
Numpty (3 units ew) was back in grade, running second at $1.70.
Plenty to choose from with 27 from the book today, with The Best and The Rest…

JB up in grade but a shot in this if it’s not too wet at $8.50. Kusuda is capable on her day but does relish the softer ground, EW at $16.
