ELLERSLIE
Race 5: SAMIAM SEUSSIE was noted wanting a run in November, and looked to figure in the finish despite finishing 12th. Ran a couple of fourths before getting up for us at Trentham in Jan, then ran a close second at Te Rapa. Consistent and will go close again today at $3.60.
BET: 6 unit win
Race 7: TIGHTLIGN bolted in at Cambridge in September but hasn’t quite lived up to that form since, though usually not far away. Goes better when on the pace, so would like to see him do that today dropping back to 1200m. The $51 on offer is juicy…
BET: 2 units ew, spice up your exotics!
Race 9: REGAL LION finished almost 8 lengths behind the logical winner of the Derby today in LA CRIQUE and hard to see him reversing that, but again, could add some spice to the exotics at $41.
BET: RL 2 units ew, exotics… LA CRIQUE 10 unit win if you fancy buying some money at $1.75…
Race 10: GAGLIARDI was noted when she bolted in at Tauranga under Lynsey Satherley last time out. Led all the way over this distance, LS sticks today, and she could be the sleeper in this at $18.
BET: 3 units ew, exotics again…
WINGATUI
Race 4: CHOKITO is wonderfully consistent for us, and Tina sticks today after winning at odds-on last time out at Riccarton. Will need to mow down Ocean Point who has outstanding stats for this t&d, but is a show at $4.50. Also like EPTIMUM here, one for exotics and maybe a small ew…
BET: Chokito 5 units win, include all three in exotics…
Race 7: SACRED GIANT hasn’t had much luck in running recently, gets his chance today at $4/$2
BET: 4 units ew
Race 10: ALL ASHORE produced a stunning finish to get up here a month ago, and is 2/2 here. Likes the cut in the ground, untested on good, but at $12 she’s a definite ew bet…
BET: 3 units ew, exotics
FLEMINGTON
Race 2: TIGERTIGER will have to go some to get past Crystal Pegasus, who had nearly 4 lengths on him last time out here. They look the squat quinella in this.
BET: 5 unit win on the Tiger, 10 units quinella with CP
Race 3: BERMADEZ has been good to us, with his last spell producing two wins and a second, then a close-up fifth before heading to the paddock for a couple of months. He’s 3/3 first up. Has won at 1200m but possibly wants longer, will need to be ready to beat the fav but has the stats to do it, $4.60 on offer…
BET: 6 unit win.
Race 4: ANNAVISTO is another resuming and has only missed the frame once in her last nine outings, so you can back her ew with confidence. Great stats for this, could be ready to break her duck at HQ… Also in this is VERSPERTINE, spruiked up in December here and ran a very close second at $31. Duly obliged for us next time out at $5 then ran sixth in a blanket finish at Caulfield. Watch for her dropping in late, also worth ew at $12…
BET: Annavisto 5 units ew, 8 unit win if the money comes. Vespertine 3 units ew. Exotics.
Race 6: BANKERS CHOICE makes his Aus debut, was noted back in June bolting in at Tauranga. Went a spell four 4 months, needed the return run at Matamata before reeling off three in a row for us at $21, $3.50 and $6. Will need to be on his game against this lot, but worth an ew investment and including in exotics at $32 (365).
BET: 2 units ew
Race 7: PINSTRIPED is progressing through the grades, unbeaten in three. Had him marked down as “ready for the mile” after his last win here and he’s a live chance in a very open betting race for the Guineas, where only $2 separates the top five in the betting.
BET: 5 units ew at $6/$2.20
Race 10: YONCE is all class, and bound for better things. Surely wins, $2.80 a steal…

RANDWICK
Race 1: CLEAR BLONDE looks a bit out of her depth in this, at $23 it’s a small ew bet…
BET: 2 units ew
Race 8: HILAL ran fav Anamoe close last time out, and can do so again today… Think Anamoe wins, but the quinella looks promising…

MURRAY BRIDGE
Race 7: YOUNG JIMMY is on a 4 race winning streak and is a second fav $8 shot here, and must be the ew shot of the day at that price.
BET: 5 units ew, 10 unit quinella with the fav
WANGARATTA
Race 6: FIGHTING ARROW breezed past them back in November to win by 8 lengths at Geelong. Won again a Terang for us and is a chance if he can get past the in-form fav. $4.80 on offer.

Really hard for me to go past the favs in the first and last legs, so my first selection, hoping for some outrageous winners in the middle legs, is:
