Race 1: HE’S THE MAN got up for us 9 days ago at Ashburton, jumps in grade for this, but has won second up. Very open betting race, and he’s a real chance at $5.50, and would enjoy any give in the ground.

Race 3: GAGLIARDI was paying plenty at her last start at Ellerslie two weeks back ($26) and ran on well to finish fifth just 1.7 lengths from the winner. Lynsey Satherley jumps back on, and she bolted in on her here five weeks ago. Will relish the going and is a real show in this at $3.80.
