Today’s Tips: Saturday 19th November 2022

Nice winner from my mate’s book…

My mate’s assessment of Pearl of Alsace (5 units ew) was bang on yesterday as she bolted down the outside to win by a long neck, paying $50/$1.90, could have got $7 or better if you got on early… thanks Tel!!

We’ve got 26 from the book today… let’s sort the best from the rest…

THE BEST

INQUISITIVE

Awapuni, 2

Another Vela runner spotted by my Wellington spy. Won well on debut and goes around here after some scratchings in a small field as $10 outsider, worth a go.

BET: 6 unit win, exotics

LADIES MAN

Awapuni, 6

A killer on heavy tracks, surely Lisa boots this home, $1.85 fav.

BET: 10 unit win

SANTERO

Ballarat Turf Club, 1

Back after 3 months away and has a great first up record, strong over this distance and only out of the frame once in her past 13 runs. Down in grade and has won in higher grade, so the $21 on offer looks ridiculously attractive.

BET: 4 units ew, and would certainly spice up the exotics

ALL ABOUT EVE

Ballarat Turf Club, 4

Got up for her second win for us a month ago here, Johnny Allen sticks, and though up in grade her stats give her a chance in this at $9.

BET: 3 units ew

STAR OF CHAOS

Ballarat Turf Club, 5

Generally competitive and drops back in class significantly for this. $13 in a very open betting race.

BET: 3 units ew

VARDANI

Ballarat Turf Club, 6

Looks like the $26 shot that he is on his last two runs, but a closer look at his stats says he’s a shot in this. 4 for 7 over the distance, likes the good tracks and once again Johnny Allen sticks up top. Today’s sleeper…

BET: 5 units ew

ATISHU, BANKERS CHOICE, BERMADEZ, DESERT ICON

Ballarat, 8

We’ve got four in this, with the first two vying for favouritism way ahead of the rest of the field, yet the other two are certainly not out of contention.

BET: Include all four in a boxed trifecta, but looks like the top two provide the winner and quinella. 10 unit quinella the bet.

PIONEER RIVER, EXTREME FLIGHT

Ballarat Turf Club, 9

PR back in grade from Listed level, from a gun stable and rates a chance here at $13. EF, marginal chance only.

BET: PR 4 units ew, EF 2 units ew

RUSTIC STEEL

Kembla Grange, 8

Got up to win in a 20 horse field at Randwick for us three weeks back, excellent stats for this open betting race and must be a show at $8.

BET: 5 units ew

KING RATEL

Kembla Grange, 9

Capable on his day, ran a $21 third for us last time out, so could be about to run into some form, $31 on offer.

BET: 3 units ew

ROADTRIP

Sunshine Coast Turf Club, 3

Up0 in grade after a win and a third (at $26 for us) in his last two, chance at $12.

BET: 2 units ew

SHE’S THE GIFT

Sunshine Coast Turf Club, 8

Needed the run on resuming, and has a nice second up record (3:2-1) and like this distance and going. Collett jumps on for Waller, better than the $19 suggests…

BET: 2 units ew

YOUNG JIMMY

Morphettville, 9

Won four in a row early this year then had a couple of spells in the paddock before resuming here three weeks ago, needing the run. Has won second up and rates an EW chance in this at $12.

BET: 2 units ew

SERTIN

Toowoomba, 2

Place three of last four, EW today at $14

BET: 2 units ew

DEVIL RACER

Gosford Race Club Ltd, 1

Ran a second for us three weeks ago at SP $21, EW shot here under Hutchings at $6.50.

BET: 2 units ew

FIENDISH

Esperance Bay Turf Club, 4

Always thereabouts and won at Kalgoorlie for us recently. Should be too good for these at $2.30.

BET: 10 unit win

TURBEAU

Tatura Racing Club, 8

Needed the run on resuming, good second up stats plus T&D, and Mertens makes the trip to ride him as $3.30 fav.

BET: 6 unit win

THE REST

OSELETA

Pukekohe, 9

AROMATIC

Pukekohe, 10

MORMAIRE

Awapuni, 3

SEA MONARCH

Awapuni, 9

NIGHT PASSAGE
