Back into it!!

Morning all, hope you enjoyed y0ur Christmas Day celebrations, and didn’t suffer too much in the way withdrawal symptoms!

Just reviewing Saturday, where we scored a couple of winners in Ladies Man (finall0, 5 units ew) at $3.40/$1.70.

Inundation (10 unit win) got up at $2.20, with Unflinching filling up the quinella at $7.20, plus the other exotics…

Social Conscience (5 units ew, awful ride) and Joltin’ Joe (2 units ew) ran second and third at $2.20 and $6.40.

Empire of Japan (another awful ride) ran third, as did Democracy Manifest and Smokin’ Val.

Big card of racing today, with three meetings here in NZ plus a dozen meeting in Aus, so plenty to pick from. Sixteen form the book, let’s have a look…

Surely a race in two, almost joint favs at around $2.60, but we’ll stick with our lad.

The second two back was encouraging, bit of early money for him and he has won six times at this distance. Front runner, so will need to hang on late…$9 on offer

Nice finish last time out to get up for us at $12 here, and rates a chance again on that, though up in grade, and the extra 100m should suit. $6.50 on offer.

She was backed in last time out here three weeks ago, and ran a nice second, attracting a next-time tag. The extra 200m will mean she’ll need to be cosied along a touch, but a definite chance at $9.

Noted with big finishes to win earlier in the year. Came back from a 6 month spell early last month without threatening at shorter distances, but could be ready to show something over the mile today. Watch for him late. $15 at the mo.

Former Kiwi who won for us at $17 here in May. Back up in grade here and will go round as the $23 outsider.

Noted early this month with a big finish for third on debut. Repeated that effort when a close second nine days ago, and rates a good chance over the extra 200m today at $5.50/$2.15

The old girl stepped it up again last start for us, running second at SP $17. She’s the same price right now for run number 117, and has had some success at the T&D.

He was the rank outsider at $101 last week but managed to find third for us at an amazing $18 the place… Pretty open betting race, he’s around the $8 mark, could surprise again…

We spruiked MI to break her 24 maiden run tag last time out, and she duly obliged here at $8. Now she’s got the idea she can repeat at $5.50/$2.25. Mombasa, needs to improve, interest only at $19.

Over 7 months since we’ve seen this lad, no first up form, but he did give us a $41 shot in the arm with a win back in March. Rank outsider here at $41, need to cover him at least…
