Race 5: MR MISCHIEF is backing up very quickly, we wondered last week why he was such short odds, having done little in runs since his last win in August. While he was beaten 5 lengths, he did finish well for second, and has had some success at this distance. Coffey jumps onboard, he’s 1/1 on the gelding. Gets a chance to win at $4.60 in a small but open betting race, carrying 8kgs less than last time…
BET: 6 unit win
GRAFTON
Race 5: ULTIMATE MAN powered home last time here, likes the track and distance, but I’d like to see him a bit closer in the run than usual… Has barely missed a place for us since going in the book in August. Also drops in weight. Chance at $10.

TAMWORTH
Race 7: I’M A CRACKER struck a rich vein of form last prep, including a second here in Open company. Certainly got the stats all round for this after a 7 month break, and if he’s ready, he should be too good for these at $2.40 fav.
BET: 8 unit win
