Joltin’ Joe runs a nice second at $2.30 the place, but we saved the best till last with Santero and Jesta Dreama filling the quinella for us at $44 ($5 quinella bet recommended). Santero wins at $8.70/$2, Just Dreama runs second at $2.90 the place (5 ew recommended on both horses), and if, like me, you boxed ‘em up for a $1 trifecta with the field, then bet365 would have netted you a cool $590!

Race 7: AEECEE DOLCE ran a close second for us at the Bool (SP $11) two weeks back, getting run down late. Steps up to 2040m today in an open betting field and can feature her at around $10.

Race 3: THE PHANTOM BANTAM ran a couple of close fourths before well beaten at Scone last time out over the 900m dash for cash. 1200m will suit him better today, but he’s drawn in the carpark and is untested on heavy, so it’s a small ew wager today at around $14 at the mo…

WERRIBEE
Race 6: ROYAL FOX noted winning well at the Bool in late Nov, then has run well since up the grades, drops back to a BM58 and jumps in distance, though back in the weights. Capable of figuring in this, watch for him dropping in late…

Race 8: The well-bred MT BULLER was noted in August under a shocking ride, simply couldn’t get out. Subsequently ran a third (SP $7.50) and a win at $10 before heading to the paddock for nearly 5 months. Has been scratched from a couple lately, and can get some of this at $8.

SUNSHINE COAST
Race 4: ZOU ZOU KACANARKIS caught the eye mid-December, spruiked up by the trainer and got too far back under the apprentice but flew home for second. Ran lest after been inconvenienced at the start, then a close-up fourth last time out. Up in grade but has form on this track and on the heavy, so he’s a shot at $6.50.
