Just one from the book yesterday, and boy were we close! Miss Intention (5 units ew) has run three thirds for us, and we tipped her to break that 19-run maiden status. She drifted in betting as well as the run, we were hoping she’d settle a little closer because as predicted, she came home with a wet sail but couldn’t quite overhaul the ex-Kiwi Tuscan Holiday who flew home at outrageous odds, Our girl paid $2.40 the place, and had she got past TH, the $1500+ trifecta would have been in our favour.

She went in the book with a storming win at Orange last December and has since run four placing for us since. Back to probably her best distance at the mile, doesn’t mind it soft underfoot, and has won at higher grade than this. Frontrunner who can get some of this at $16…

Won his first two as odds-on fav last Sept/Oct and only lightly raced since then. Hasn’t been too far off this prep, just hope it’s not too soft underfoot for him, but again, a place chance here today at $15.
