In just nine months, we’ve risen from the depths of page 5 to consistently in the top six of page 1 of a Google search for NZ Racing Tips, so we’re getting plenty of attention – and that’s without any SOE action on our part!
OK, yesterday…
While our bet of the day Impulsar (10 unit win) was at short odds, obviously, $2.20, and won imperiously, we also had Maktastic (2 units ew), who started at around the $32 mark and ran a nice second at odds of $5.70. We encouraged you into the exotics, and the quinella paid around $35, and if you were on the trifecta, bet365 paid out at $594.
Meanwhile at Wyong, we accurately predicted that Bullet Wing (5 units ew) would bounce back after failing under the heavy conditions, and would be more suited back at the t&d where we won his maiden on debut under this jockey. He duly obliged at $9.50/$2.40.
Four from the book, two winners and a huge odds second…
Nice tune-up for Friday, where we have racing here in NZ on the Riccarton synthetic, plus six meetings across the ditch. Let’s see what little gems we have for you today… seven from the book!
FRIDAY’S MAGNIFICENT SEVEN…
RICCARTON
Race 5: JUNE BUG is a touch hit and miss, but ran a good race under CJ last time out here, ew shot based on that at $9.
BET: 3 units ew
IPSWICH
Race 7: She must just thrive on racing, because out old girl ABB ROY is up again just seven days after running away from them and getting up at $12 for us at Gatton last week. Amazingly, chasing a hattrick on the 106th run of her career. At $19, I’m not leaving her out…
BET: 5 units ew
Race 9: WHEELS is ex-NZ, and was noted on her Aussie debut last August with a big run for second after her one win at Otaki. Did nothing on resumption last month but has since won a trial. Won over this t&d in October, and the drop in grade should suit. $6.50 on offer.
BET: 3 units ew
ECHUCA
Race 9: COSMIC RHAPSODY and REAL GUN represent the value here, both around the $8 mark. Not sure they beat the hotpot fav, but must be included in the exotics. CM dangerous in this grade, and RG always thereabouts. Good stats for both.
BET: 3 units ew both picks, exotics.
MURRAY
BRIDGE
Race 5: UNASSAILABLE went in the book with a grinding win last October, then ran a couple of nice odds seconds for us, then went right off the boil… Back to BM58 may help, gets a decent jock onboard, ew show at $12.
BET: 2 units ew
Race 7: NATIVE BLUE is on the quick back-up after an improved third at Murtoa 12 days back. Worth a look at $15.
