Today’s Tips: Friday 25th February 2022
Jesta Dreama gets up for us yesterday at $6.90/$2.20, a nice return on our 5 unit ew investment. Ruinart got beaten by a nostril (I was convinced she’d won!) and Cool Lad looked the winner 100m out but just faded to fourth.

RICCARTON
Race 7: SACRED GIANT, LORD DARCI and I’M A TIGER all contest this one, with the ex-HK SG the likely second fav and LD returning from a break. IAT has been fair for the new stable, include these three in your exotics.
BET: 5 units ew SG plus the exotics…
MOONEE VALLEY
Race 3: ISLAND EDITION is lightly raced, and comes off an eyecatching third first up after a spell. Benny Allen sticks, but he’d better be on-pace in this even betting small field in the dash for cash… $4.20 on offer.
BET: 6 unit win
Race 5: Former French gelding VARDANI got up for us when backed in from $10 to $3.50 four runs back, has been close in a couple of succeeding runs but does get out to 2040m today, where’s he’s 2 from 3… Another tight betting field but watch for him late, $5 on offer…
BET: 4 units ew, if the money comes 8 unit win
Race 8: JOLTIN’ JOE and MARIAMIA contest this one, with the latter going very close in a higher grade at Caulfield last time out behind Probabeel, will go close today and has the race pattern to dominate. Big fan of JJ, but his get-back style might just preclude him from winning this, but he’ll be dropping in late no doubt… also back in grade.
BET: MM 6 unit win, JJ 3 units ew. Include both in exotics…
CANTERBURY
Race 3: TWICE ON SUNDAY produced a great burst to win back in December, and has run consistently in the placings since at higher grades. Back to BM64, and a real show today at $11…
BET: 3 units ew
Race 4: COOL MISSILE is up in grade today, got up at Pt Mac for us four back, and has not been far away since in three runs, all within 2 lengths. Rank outsider in this small field, but don’t ignore at $23…

Race 6: CLEAR BLONDE is another longshot at around the $41 mark, ew only today…

Race 7: MT BULLER was butchered back in August then came out and ran third ($7.50) then won for us at $10 here in September. Spelled for 3 months or so and came back at Werribee three weeks back, winning rider Luke Nolen is back onboard, he’s a shot today at $8…

Race 5: AUSSIE TYCOON is really mixing her runs, hard to recommend anything other than an ew chance today at $34…

Race 4: JALMARI was at big odds 12 days ago at Goulburn and flew home to win on the line. Not sure where that came from as he’d done little in five runs. Outsider at $31 in this small field, maybe exotics and a small win bet…
