FLEMINGTON
Race 3: FASHION AVENUE won her maiden at Mornington with an all the way win from the front. She likes to get on the pace, and almost got him last run with a similar effort, chance again today at $5.50/$2.20
BET: 3 units ew
Race 4: RED HAWK went in the book when he bolted in on debut at Ballarat in August. Comes back now with Mickey Dee onboard, and the $2 or so on offer indicates he’s ready to resume.
BET: 10 unit win
Race 6: COSMIC RHAPSODY was pretty ordinary last time out under Olly after getting in an awkward spot and held up early, having previously got up under Yendall for us at Bendigo in early December. Has form here at headquarters, and gets Ms Kah up top today, so will give another chance at $8 or so.
BET: 3 units ew
Race 7: What else but JOLTIN’ JOE, who’s been giving us a great sight in his past few runs, a $21 win, a $61 SP second and a close second at the Valley last time out at SP $7.50. Just about get ew odds if you fancy them at $4.60/$1.80…
BET: 5 units ew if you like, but if the money comes, 10 unit win

Race 5: Here’s my comment on EFFORTKAT from her last run here 12 days ago (see link below): The run from Effortkat was quite astonishing, and was only surpassed by a better one from the fav. Right at the back on the turn, he switched to the outside and almost run ‘em down, with a juicy $3.20 for the place. Next time for sure for her…
My concerns about the going seem unfounded now, and if they can get her a bit closer than third last in the run, and she doesn’t come home via the carpark, she’s a real chance today. New jockey, but otherwise stats are great for this. If you jump on now, you’ll get odds of around $5.50/$2.15

Race 2: RUINART went in the book in September, she fell out the gate and flew home for third before going for and 4 month+ spell… Had two trials recently to sharpen up, and McEvoy jumps onboard. Likely fav at $3.30
