Race 5: ISLAND EDITION was on a close watch last time out after being unlucky in the previous race. Finished well from his usual back position last time out, drops back in grade today and Benny Allen sticks. Bit closer in the run and he wins, but a dead-set ew bet at $5/$2…

Race 7: EL PATRONESS was huge on return in early Feb and ran fav next time out with a similar run behind today’s fav in Castlereagh Kid and Lucky Decision, and with War Eternal dropping back in grade, this looks a race in four. We’ll stick with our girl, backable ew at $4.60/$1.80 if you like, exotics around these four could pay off…

Race 6: GENJIRO dropped in distance last time out and finished well for second, capping off some consistent form. My review said we’d next-time him over longer distance, and here it is, back up to 2100m today and a genuine shot at a very juicy $19. Best roughie.

Race 4: MISS MECCA has just had the two runs, and caught the eye winning in May at Rocky before heading to the paddock for 10 months. Curiously ran last in two trials in the last month or so, so maybe a watch on her today and a small ew investment…

Race 4: MR MISCHIEF had a purple patch Aug/Sept last year, but hasn’t gone as well since. Needed the run first back at Hamilton 3 weeks back but steps back up to his fav distance today. EW best at $15

Race 6: PALENCIA has outstanding stats for this, just check them out… very good run for third on re-appearance after travelling wide and is appropriately $1.65 fav today. Wins.

Race 8: COOL MISSILE ran a SP $26 third for us 12 days ago, backs up pretty quickly and has a great record at this track (4:3-0). EW shot at $9.

Race 7: Not a noted first-up record, so form doesn’t read so well for RED HOT CHILLYPINS after 4 months off, maybe a place show at $12…
