Hedge Fund was back to the shorter distance and ran second at $1.70, while Makbeel (2 units ew) ran third paying $3.50.

He won on resuming for us at Moruya and Collett sticks for this. Watch for him late as a $19 shot.

He’s improved with each run this prep, running a close second at $21 at Gosford last month. Up in grade a touch but has won at this level. Another with a late finish, EW chance at $13.

Ran a nice third though well-beaten last time out at Ballarat, and will run second fav at around $3 here today. This is his distance and Moloney sticks.

One win in 28 and that almost three years ago doesn’t inspire a lot of betting confidence, though he wasn’t far off on resuming at Strathalbyn a month ago, running fifth. Maybe an EW shot at $21.
