Nice winner…
Four from the book yielded a winner, a second and a fourth.
Our Baez (5 units ew) belied her usual backmarker role by getting to the front early and hanging on for a really gritty short head win, paying $5.90/$1.80.
Beach West (3 units ew) ran a cracking race for second, paying $3.10.
Alterno was a $34 shot and ran fourth.
Seven from the book, and all of them with real a realistic chance of figuring today, time to fill up the wallet for the weekend!!

On the 10 day backup, and she was massive from the back at Taupo to run a close fourth and got marked down as a next-timer, so don’t ignore today, the extra 200m will work in her favour late on… $11 on offer.

Strikes the right race now, and looks to be running into form. Extra 100m will suit late on, and he’ll go round as close to fav in this small but tight betting field at around $3.

Been knocking on the door at good odds for us this time in, and the slight drop in grade will assist. $5 makes her well backable EW.

He was a monster from last to first just 11 days ago, and despite being gelded since (he has my sympathy…) can’t see why he doesn’t win again on that form as $3.40 fav and $1.80 place on 365. Another one out over a suitably longer distance.

SEIRYU
Sunshine Coast, 5
Went in the book in August when hopelessly trapped, then was backed in next time out when finishing fifth before heading for the paddock. Resumes today after a good trial up here 10 days ago, has switched barns and is ready to break her maiden here as $2.70 fav.

He’s back in great order, with two seconds and a win this prep. Super stats, and though up in the weights he’s fav to go in again at $2.90…
