Today’s Tips: Friday 15th July 2022
Back to knocking on doors again yesterday…
Cosmic Rhapsody missed by a head, running second at $4.10 the place.
Bullet Wing lost by the same margin back in the right grade, close watch on him for next time, $1.60 the place.
And Tara Jasmine was a certainty beaten as she flopped out the gates 3 lengths adrift and absolutely powered home to miss by two lips at $1.20 the place.
I was very keen on Bel Academy in the last at Grafton, but despite getting off to her usual vigorous start, her condition ran out, but, she’ll be better next time…
Seven again today as we try and load up for the weekend, and some juicy, well-priced blackbookers in here…

RICCARTON
Race 5: JUNE BUG gets CJ up top today, which should enhance her chances. Been a bit off the pace last two, could bounce back here at $26.
BET: 2 units ew
Race 6: SAVVY MAN is probably the best bet on the card, his win a month ago here was top notch as he cleared maidens. Must go in, $2.20 fav.
BET: 10 unit win
MACKAY
Race 6: TEZOFF has not been far off, hasn’t finished outside the top four in eight runs, including a $31 placegetter for us two back. Nice track, distance and going stats, could be today’s sleeper at $23…
BET: 3 units ew, try him on the exotics…
Race 9: AHOOSHU bolted in by 4 last time out for us, outstanding stats for this. Races in same class but probably up against better animals today, but a real chance at a generous $10!
BET: 5 units ew
DUBBO
Race 6: POSSIBLY SO and COUTURE offer some real options in this… PS is racing in fine form, and certainly wasn’t disgraced at the higher grade last time out. Cavallo sticks, and he’s $2.30 fav, and rightly so. Couture got up for us here 3 weeks ago at a whopping $17 to break her maiden status, and though obviously up in grade, she can figure in this and add to the exotics at $19.
BET: PS to win it, 8 unit win. Couture 3 units ew, but include both in all exotics.
SCONE
Race 8: RUSSLEY CROWN impressed winning from the front on debut in December, then went to the paddock for 6 months. Came back as fav last month, but needed the run after dominating in that too. Fitter now, and a real chance at $6.
BET: 5 units ew
