Very impressive at Hawkesbury two weeks ago, she’s up in grade and distance today and would probably relish some sting out of the ground but she’s a real chance to make the hattrick at $5. Will need to be at the top of her game to get past this odds-on fav, but can do it…

TIDAL IMPACT, DESTINATION

Canterbury, 7

Destination needed the run at Rosehill when resuming, but wasn’t too far off the winner. Drops in grade for this, and look for an improvement from him today at $9.50. Tidal Impact resumed after a similar spell away with a tidy second at Gosford, finishing well late on. She’s back to her fav distance here, and though up in grade is an EW chance at $14.

KERMANTIC

Ballina, 8

We said he had his hoof on the till last time out, and he absolutely powered home 12 days ago here, and McGuren sticks (3: 1-2 on him) and based on that, looks suited by the extra 150m. Must follow up on him today even though he jumps back to the BM-66, good value at $9.

Sunshine Coast, 7

We gave her a shot at winning last time out at Newcastle, but the heavy going did for her in that one. Easier going today, and she presents as the $3 fav. Only won one from sixteen, but can add to that today…

Warwick, 6

Doesn’t win out of turn but has won here. Couple of seconds recently and bounces back up in grade today, EW best at $19

The old girl’s up again today for run #115. Won a couple for us earlier in the year, and you can never really discount her, even at $26…

ZOU ZOU KACANARKIS, WINSTON BLUE

Warwick, 9

ZZ drops in grade for this one. Been round at big odds in his last three, but runs second fav here today in a big field, where he’s 1:1 on the track, and has won twice at this distance. They must know more than we do, back him ew at $5. Ditto for Winston Blue, ran near last at Caloundra on resuming at $51, and his stats say he won’t be winning this one… $12 on offer…

BET: ZZ 3 units ew, WB 2 units ew, exotics if you’re feeling lucky…

Gundagai, 4

Produced a phenomenal burst to get up at Moruya in August on a heavy track to lose her maiden tag but hasn’t pushed on from there… Third fav today but will need to improve to figure…
