COROWA
Race 3: LANDMINE caught the eye in August, backed in late, missed the start and finished well for sixth at Wagga. Subsequently found wanting, but does tend to finish well, and the extra 100m could go his way if they get him up on the pace. $16 at the mo.

PINJARRA
Race 1: RUBRICA returned from a 6 month spell with an improved run late last month, and may be another one to sneak a place second up at $23

Race 8: We were looking for a jockey change on the quickly-backed up BLAZING TYCOON. Ran only 4 days ago, and the young jockey again didn’t do the horse justice, finishing into a close sixth after previously ridden too politely… Same jock up today, but she’d better have this gelding on-speed over the shorter distance today, looking warily at it, but we’ll give them another shot backing up so quickly…

KYNETON
Race 6: Just noticed that Jamie Mott has gone over for one ride on TOOJAY in this race, usually an indicator of intent… $18 makes it interesting, I have no form reference but the booking would suggest a small investment.
