Today’s Tips – 15th Dec 2021
Well, we hammered at that door yesterday and produced and second, two thirds and a fourth out of our four picks, best one being the roughie of the bunch in Bandahara who was spruiked up by the trainer and certainly tried a different tactic under the young apprentice by making a bold move in mid-race to take the lead, and only faded late. We’ll be keeping an eye on him for next time…
Hump day returns, with six meetings in Aussie but Counties already abandoned over here, where we had a couple lined up for you, but still have four from the book that could deliver the goods today!
With two in the same race, I’ll lined up a couple of Trixies involving both picks…
SANDOWN
Race 5: SELFLESS is a real under-the-radar shot today… Noted as far back as September last year, where she cruised up from midfield to win on debut. She’s been either sh*t or bullets since then, moving between grades and distances but providing us with a close second in Feb at SP $21, then coming from a spell last month and winning for us at $13. Here’s what I said about her on 19 Nov:
SELFLESS was noted on debut, 14 months ago, where she cruised up nicely from midfield to win her maiden. Ran a close second for us in Feb at $21 SP in the grade, then moved up to some tougher racing before being spelled for 7 months. Tuned up for this with a second in a trial at Benalla recently, and she does have good first up, distance and going stats to be a factor in this at $9.50.
Likes this distance (3:2-1) and the good going, and the winning jock sticks from last time. $21 on TAB, $31 on 365, do not ignore!
However, she has to get past MARIAMIA, who murdered them by 7 lengths late Nov and then jumped hugely in class to run a very close third 11 days ago. She will be hard to beat in this, back to BM70… $3.20 fave at the mo…
BET: SELFLESS: 2 units ew. MARIAMIA 8 unit win. Include both in exotics.
Race 7:NIGHT PASSAGE smashed them to bits by nearly 7 lengths at Ballarat in September, then moved up to BM70 and 78, managing a second in November. Back to BM64 here, and more comfy at this grade and distance, she’ll pose a threat in this.
BET: 5 unit win, exotics
LAUNCESTON
Race 7: THE INEVITABLE returned to Tassy on the first of this month for the first time in a couple of years, to this track, where he was unbeaten. He drifted in the betting and finished on from the back for a close fourth in a Listed event, looking like he needed the run after a 3 month break. He’s got stats for Africa for this, just can’t see him not winning. $3? A steal at the moment…
BET: 10 unit win
