Foxy Femme (5 units ew), just too far back but steamed home for third at $1.80, also on watch, while Baltic Coast (4 units ew) repeated the dose, blasting home into third at $4.00 and sealing the suggested trifecta with the favs, paying $151…
Today we have ten from the book, including several at the Ashburton meeting, and some good prospects on offer!

Vastly improved last two runs, third here 21 days ago after a big odds second at Riccy in Feb. Finishing his races off well, Joe Doyle hops on, and if he gets him closer in the run, he’ll win this late. $3.70 second fav.

BRANCASTER BOMBER, SASSMAN
Ashburton, 8
BB disappointed on resuming at Riccy, previous form was sound and his track record means he can’t be discarded, especially with Tina jumping on, $9.50 on offer.
Sassman was noted with a dominant front-running display in October to break maidens and followed up runing fifth of 17 here before heading to the paddock. Ran second in a trial two weeks ago, and will be dangerous with T Moseley onboard, $12 on offer.
BET: Can back both these 3 units ew, open race, include in exotics.
MILLEFIORI, MORE THAN WORDS

Bit if insider knowledge here… Millefiori finsihed like a train for third last time out for us. She doesn’t like the proximity to other horse, so drawn 7 will suit her today, and connections are very keen, $4.40 on offer, EW must.
MTW went in the book April last year and has performed consistently since. Resumed in Feb needing the run, then reappeared at Riccy with a very nice third, paying $4.70 the place. Tina jumped back onboard (4:2-1) a month back and got her home at Gore for us. Disappointing run at Riccy 12 days ago but she’s better than that. First go at 1300m, $41 on offer…

Made a winning return for us in late Dec after 649 days out, we got $61 for her! Ran second at Wingatui a month back at $7.30 the place before running down the track in an Open event at Riccy 12 days ago. Back in grade somewhat and back to the mile where two of her wins have come, can’t risk her, even at $26, EW all day…

Cleaned ‘em out good style 37 days ago this T&D to clear maiden ranks, don’t see why she doesn’t repeat, $4.40 co-fav.

Screamed home down the fence here late Feb so the push out to the 1400m looked fine 20 days ago, but he just couldn’t see it out, running third, also here. Back to 1300m should suit, he’s 5:2-2 at the track and 5:3-2 on soft, jockey 3:2-1, all points to him as $3.90/$1.75 fav.

Noted on debut March last year with a gritty, all the way win at Sandown, then ran last here three weeks later, weakening late after trying to lead again. Went to the paddock for 230 days, and reappeared just once in November, again running last before another spell. Resumes after 134 days, obviously has talent but also had some issues you’d think… $10 on offer, keep safe…
