Winning continues…
Kept our winning run up with a salute from Mombasa (10 unit win, $2.40) from our five tips yesterday.
Luxuriant tried to lead all the way, just fading to fourth.

On the face of it, her three runs this prep do not make good reading. She was in fine form early in the year, winning three out of four for us, just not sure what the problem has been this prep, but hopefully she’s taken benefit from them, and she presents as a better prospect back up to the 2200m, where she’s 1:1. Should relish the soft going, happy to back her EW at $7.50 in an open betting event.

Expected her to go close at Grafton three weeks back, where she stuck on for fifth. Gets McGuren today, won her only tilt in this grade, wetter the better, and an EW shot at $8.

McGuren sticks on this one, she just got nicked on the line after leading all the way 13 days ago at Ballina, so the drop back to 1205m here today should suit, second fav at $4.00/$1.75, EW all day but her chance to win.

Spruiked up at Grafton five weeks ago for a nice win to clear maidens nice and early, and just nudged out 13 days ago at Ballarat. Jockey up top is 6:1-4 onboard, another second fav who rates a firm EW bet at $5.00.
