We were super-confident that Midnight In Tokyo could do the job for us yesterday, stats were top notch, and if you jumped on early like we suggested, you’d have got $5.50. As it was, she was backed in to $3.50, and well worth the 5 units ew we invested.

She finally delivered for us 15 days ago on the Cambridge synthetic, sitting just off the pace over the 970m scamper, and once Opie let her go, there was no doubt as she gave ‘em a bath after being well supported in the market into fav. $2.60 fav here, gets Wazza up today, a repeat of that performance sees her win this too…

Caught the eye on debut at Gosford in October, got badly baulked but ran on well eventually into second. Expected to well next up but ran an ordinary eighth, obviously with some issues as we went back to the paddock. Resumes here after 195 days away, but did run second in a trial a month ago under Rachel King. Dual acceptor but goes in this, $9 on offer, is she’s right, she can go close.
