3 from 3
A winner and two seconds from our three yesterday, just missing our on our Trixie…
Federer (10 unit win) fulfilled his debut promise with another win under Ben Allen at $1.70, while Fortuneer ($1.26) and Sweysive ($3.20) ran nice seconds on resuming and will bear watching next time out.
Five for Thursday, with four of them rating as excellent EW chances, plus a possible Hall of Famer at $81…
Five for Thursday
Fighting Arrow
Bendigo R5
Mixing his runs a bit but the second here at $26 in this grade was a tidy effort after being just off the pace instead of his usual backmarker position. The jump to BM70 was a bridge too far for him at the Valley 19 days ago, and back at country level where he’s 3:0-3 at the track will suit him today. The push out to 2040m suggests they’ll ride him back as usual, so look for the big finish, Lachy King sticks up top, $5 on offer…

Jet Jitsu
Bendigo R8
Despite a betting drift from second fav out to $11, JJ found his old form as he came with a withering burst from midfield to close out a superb win for us three weeks ago at Geelong. Up in grade but gets fav jock H Coffey onboard, he can go on with it now he’s found his mojo, $11 at the mo.

Mandalorian
Newcastle R3
Long time between drinks for this lad, resumed at Nowra 17 days ago finishing on into sixth, will have benefited from that but needs a big improvement to feature, don’t know why he’s up in class… $81 is about right, would be a real Hall of Famer if he got up…

Snow In May
Newcastle R5
It as more like Snow-chance in May as she was noted on debut when well-supported at Wagga with a gritty win before heading straight back to the paddock. Has trialled twice recently under McEvoy for a couple of close thirds, if she’s anything like ready she’ll blow these away, $2.20 fav.
BET: 10 unit win
More Likely
Northam R7
Resumed from a 4 month break four weeks ago at Pinjarra with a tidy second when well-supported, after finishing last prep with a couple of close fourths. CJP stuck and he booted the gelding home for us at Bunbury 14 days ago at a nice $7. He jumps ship for another booking but Chris Parnham is a decent replacement, and though up in grade a touch and up to the mile, he’s right in this at $7.50.
