Next time…
Fortuneer scratched again leaving just Mombasa as our sole tip yesterday. We thought he’d relish the longer 2100m given his backmarker style but truth is he never revved up until it was too late and didn’t get near the winner, maybe a bridge too far for him, but more wins to come we feel…
Couple of NZ meetings at Rotovegas and Timaru today, and our five tips there all in with a shot, plus three from Aussie looking to redeem themselves…
Eight for Thursday…
BIT NOSY
Rotorua, 1
Just the one win 23 but seven placings in and around this T&D, and market has her second fav at $5 in this small field. Could be her time back down a touch in grade…
BET: 6 unit win
JACK IN THE BOX
Rotorua, 3
Similar win stats for this lad, wetter the better for him, his sole win on heavy in Sept for us at $18 but ordinary since. $12 in this, EW only…
BET: 3 units ew
GOLDIE’S CHANCE
Timaru, 5
Two super runs for a second and a win first up this prep, and not disgraced in the Breeders less than 4 lengths from the winner. Back to the BM75 as $3.80 second fav, will go close.
BET: 10 unit win
CAPO DELL IMPERO, LORD DARCI
Timaru, 6
These two around the $8-$9 mark and coming into form, can feature in this.
BET: Back both 3 units ew, include in exotics.
FLYING FINCH
Mornington, 7
Not sure what Micky Dee was doing onboard last time after the previous superb win, running last of nine in the dash for cash, but winning jockette Jaylah Kennedy is back up top and the 1000m appeals. $14 outsider but if you can get some top three action back him EW.
BET: 3 units ew
TIDAL IMPACT
Gosford, 7
Resumes from a two month break, previous form not encouraging though has won first-up and at this track and distance. $12 on offer.
BET: 3 units ew
ABB ROY
Warwick, 4
Here’s the old girl again, with run #147. Never won on heavy (6:0-3) but we gotta stick with her for an EW punt at $19…
BET: 2 units ew
