We hit 72% return…
Seven from the book yesterday produced a winner, three seconds and a third, a return rate of nearly 72% of our tips…
Our best bet in Wanjiru (5 units ew) rewarded us for our faith in him, the trainer spruiking him up prior to the race. He was closer in the run, as we hoped, hit the front 300 out, was headed, and fought back for the bravest of wins, paying $6.90/$2.40!
Seconds for Miss Intention (3 units ew, $4.40), Markwell Dreamer (3 units ew, $3.50), and Boldinho (5 units ew, $1.70), plus a third from Wango Award (3 units ew, $2.00).

MTW was noted in April with a good second and finally fulfilled promise here in June before an ordinary ninth. We suggested that he be ridden close to the speed in his next, and the booking of Tina C up top proved significant as she sat just off the pace and powered home for us at $8.10. Great T&D stats here, Tina sticks, no reason she won’t repeat for me, $6.50 at the mo, jump on! Mormaire resumes after 6 months, has won first up but may need the run, $11 shot.

The resuming run was an eyecatcher, next two not so good after two good trials. Drops in grade for this and up to the mile, needs to be closer in the run to be in with a shot in this at $10.

Very consistent this prep, busting to win another one, chance to do so here in an open betting race at $6.

His win in Feb was a dominant one followed by two good runs in Open class. Went to the paddock for 4 months, ran two good trials and was sent out as fav on resuming at Newcastle a month ago, getting back in the 900m dash but finished fast for fourth. Up to the 1100m will suit, gets JMac up top, boxes ticked! $2.50 co-fav, but he wins for me…

Belied his plodder tag last time out as he bolted in at Ballarat a month ago when well-supported. Chance to back that up as $5 second fav, though would prefer it a bit wetter. Open betting event.

Race #135 produced win number 11 last time out as the old mare lead all the way to give us a $21 winner. Thorburn sticks after his win and second on her last two runs, and now she’s found some form she presents as a $6 shot here.
