Two fourths…

An unfortunate scratching in Junebug yesterday, well-supported in to favourite but kicked out in the gates and was stood down, really thought she was a winner in waiting there… He’ll Rip was another we fancied to go well, but was scratched earlier.

Other than that, two fourth placings in Tara Jasmine and Turin Warrior.

Three for Thursday, one  of which we are very keen on, plus a couple of roughies, so maybe an EW Trixie?

Impressive last prep and he returned from a 220 day spell in March after winning a trial under H Coffey. Never really got into the race but made some late progress into a close fifth. Thought he’d be suited in late March here and he was gritty winning from the front. Up in grade and distance, and that’s what happened as he got up smartly for us at a nice $13. H Coffey jumps off today and he gets the apprentice plus the 4kg relief, and he looks awfully hard to beat in this both down in grade, back to the 1500m and back on his fav track.

Cosmic Rhapsody

Resuming from a three month break and has decent stats for this. Trialled earlier in the month for a second, and while hard to catch win-wise, he’s worth an EW punt. Not sure the 1000m suits, but watch for him late…

Rockhampton R7

Backmarker who resumed for a seventh 51 days ago and has placed 3 from 4 at the distance. This might be a touch short again unless she can muster early, another one hard to catch but both wins have come second-up, EW in this.
