A promising third…
Just the two yesterday, with Who’s Sam (3 units ew) after needing his resuming run 12 days ago, running a nice third at $3 the place, certainly another one down as a next-timer for us.
Narito (3 units ew) was in it for a long way, racing under similar circumstances to Who’s Sam, and only faded late into fifth. Will be fitter again next time, we’ll be watching…

His first two runs were impressive, shedding maiden status in the second, but has struggled somewhat since. Back up the mile today, and surprisingly only at $6 here in a tight betting race, though he has had support for his runs this prep. Maybe a chance for the new barn down in the weights…

ROYAL FOX, ON MY PAT
Pakenham, 8
RF was an absolute jaw-dropper last time out here, 10 lengths back at the 400m, not even in the picture with 200m to go, wins by nearly 2 lengths… Back up to mile here shouldn’t be a problem, dead-set EW bet in this at $5 with Froggy sticking… OMP was marked as next-time back in Jan and duly bolted in by 6 lengths before heading to the paddocks for 5 months. He drifted hugely in betting on resumption at Werribee, sat at the back and blitzed home for third at nice odds, dropping him right into next-time territory. Sleeper in this at $11.
BET: Can back both 5 units ew, must go into exotics…

Kembla Grange, 5
Won in Open grade two back, finishing well on the heavy going at Orange, before stepping up the BM72 with a plain run. Back a touch in grade today, and has reasonable T&Ds for this on his return, and has placed 3 from 7 first up. $21 on offer…

Kembla Grange, 7
Rank outsider here on resumption, and apart from his solo win nearly two years ago, hasn’t shown enough to suggest he’ll be winning this. Having said that, he can race on the pace, and the drop to 1300m might give him a squeak at $81.

MISS INTENTION
Pinjarra, 7
Finished well on resuming, and will be better suited second up over 200m further. Has had success here, and fav jockey sticks. EW shot at $9…
