Winner on the final day…
Two tips yesterday, and we really fancied Trobiand to make an impact given his 2:2 record both second-up and at Te Rapa. OP had him perfectly placed just off the pace and he looked to be in a challenging position on the turn, but when asked, he couldn’t produced the finish…
However, we did finish the month as we started, with Donation (5 units ew) bouncing back to form for us at $4.40/$1.80.
Three for Thursday, with a sell-the-farm fav and two juicy EW prospects that’ll make up a nice EW trixie!

He was super-cruisy on resuming here 10 days ago, winning as he liked by over three lengths. Bound for better things, presents here as $1.80 fav, and though awkwardly drawn, no reason he doesn’t win again. Sell the farm.

We reckoned he’d need the run resuming at Home Hill 15 days ago, lacking any first-up form, but he was supported in the betting late and came home well for third. Looks like him back up the 1200m will suit, where he’s had most of his success and back on a track where he’s 14:4-5. Jockey sticks, he’s placed 3 from 4 up top. $16 shot, sleeper, watch for him late…

Her first-up second in late Dec had merit, and she ran a close fourth 14 days ago on unsuitably soft ground. Back on good going today, and on her fav track (4:1-2) puts her right in this at $9.
