Just a fourth from our three tips yesterday, Queen Sarabi running an improved fourth and only 3.5 lengths off the winner, we’ve got our eye on here, when she wins it’ll be at odds…

Former Kiwi who hasn’t quite lived up to his NZ form in Aus, the four runs over there have been so-so, the latest 20 days ago when he returned from a 249 day break at Geelong when well-supported in the market but needed the run. Should have benefited from that, gets Micky Dee onboard and rates a good EW bet in this at $5.50.

Won four on the trot late last year before heading to the paddock for a four month spell, but hasn’t reproduced that form this prep. Tends to lead, so maybe they’ll nurse him along over the 1500m today. Does have excellent T&Ds but will need to reverse form with Prime Ruler to take this out… $3.20 in a very close betting race in a small field.

Another with tidy T&Ds, not far off here 14 days ago, and does possess a decent finish. Looks the value pick in this if he can match the two favs, $9 on offer…

One placing in 17 runs (on debut) is hardly inspiring, he’s a perennial backmarker who does finish off well occasionally without threatening, so maybe the jump to the mile will help, but $101 looks about right… But, you never know, keeping him safe…

At least he’s won one, which was a year and two days ago at Kalgoorlie. Resumes from a 4 month break today and finished last prep with a couple of close fourths. Has trialled twice and does get CJP onboard, keeping safe again at $41.

Needed the resuming run here in June and we spruiked her up a bit with T Turner onboard 22 days ago at Belmont, where she screamed home from the back of the field to run a very game third after being backed in from $18 to $12. Goes well on soft, up in distance where she’s 4:0-3, really like her EW in this at $5, can give this a shake…
