Winning Aces winning races!!
Well, we had to wait for WA racing for a return yesterday, and it was a Hall of Famer in Winning Aces (3 units ew), who finally added his second win in his thirtieth run after a good resuming fourth three weeks ago. Nice price too, $12.00/$3.70…
And Desert Nymph (3 units ew) nearly made it a nice win multi, also second-up, and screamed home for a nice third at $3.10. Nevertheless, it was a nice place multi!

Better last run 8 days ago, tends to get back and is capable of a finish, so the push out to 2040m here should suit. Certainly better on heavy going, and despite his recent ordinary form, they’ve got him amongst the favs at $4.80.

Very consistent mare resuming for a four month spell after an uncharacteristic next to last here in March. T&D stats outstanding, as are first-up, just hope it’s not too wet for here, if she jumps well she’ll be hard to catch over the 800m dash, close $2.30 fav.

Scratched here last week where it was probably far too heavy for here and the soft going today will suit much better. Goes well at this distance, and had been going well until her run at Toowoomba 54 days ago, where she probably made the front a bit too early and faded to run last. Picking they’ll ride her more conservatively today, back in grade a touch and $9 on offer.

CE didn’t handle the heavy in April and was better suited on soft at his last three, with eye-catching late runs, running a creditable third at odds 27 days ago at Caloundra. Good form at the track and at the distance, can beat this hotpot fav as $3.50 second fav.
AR on the 10 day back-up for her 155th race, but has finished well back in four of five runs this prep. $61 outsider, small interest bet only…
