Bit lean as we struck just the one winner, three seconds and two fourths…
Rise At Dawn (4 units ew) took advantage of C Gaudray up top and was well-supported in to $5.30/$2.30.
Seconds for Marble Nine ($2.50), Pioneer River ($5.60) and Foxy Femme ($2.00).
Couple of fourths for Sky Lab and Fortuneer.

The win two back here was superb and though he flew home at Riccy a month ago for sixth, he might have found it a bit wet, so the return to firmer going should suit. He’s 3:2-0 here and Kylie has form onboard, solid EW shot at $6, watch for him late!

Very smart winning on debut last October, then ran fifth, then last, in November then went to the paddock. Returns from a 207 day break, warmed up with a trial second last month and so rates a good EW chance, especially if she’s ready.

Noted when spruiked and backed in Jan 23, running fourth, duly obliged 2 weeks later then headed to the paddock for 205 days. Resumed with an ordinary seventh in Aug last year, then put away again until last month at Kyneton where he clearly needed the run but did make some late headway and was less than two lengths from the winner. We fancied him to get up 14 days ago at Ballarat but he couldn’t quite get there but he’ll be fitter now and looks well-placed, $3.50 fav.

His two wins from his first two runs were impressive before he headed to a BM70 at Flem. Another resuming today, this from a 160 day break, and Ms Hefel up top has him $3.40 fav. On-pacer, and if he’s ready he’ll take some catching.

Consistent at this level and rates a chance back from his latest run at BM78. Only one win in his past twenty but rates an EW show here at $5.

Intermittent winner but hasn’t shown much this prep, finishing last in both runs, so really not sure what he’s doing here up in grade… $126 on offer, that sounds about right, but just in case..

Did nothing resuming 21 days ago, though stats are very good, as most Tassie horses’ are… Open betting race and a small field, he’s the $6.50 outsider.
