The Magnificent Seven!
A boomer day yesterday as we tip 6 winners, 7 if we count TAB’s first-past-the-post policy after Erin Go Bragh lost it in the stewards’ room…
In addition to that, Cooper, Rose Noir, Tactfull, Fire, Briasa and Compelling Truth all obliged, and in addition to that we had a second, four thirds and four thirds, an overall strike rate of 47%, with a 20% win rate!!
Eight from the book today, and some real scruffy ones going round!
Sunday 8
Buoyant
Invercargill R5
Not going well, one win in his past twenty and last 36 days ago. $5.50 seems a little over-confident…
BET: 2 units ew
Lochnaberry
Invercargill R7
Done nothing this prep, has gone well this track and this distance but needs a big improve to feature as $19 outsider.
BET: 3 units ew
Teewaters
Ballarat Synthetic R1
Similar story with this one, did little ion resuming and débuts over hurdles here and untried over this distance but rocks up as $5 second fav.
BET: 3 units ew
Mr Mondello
Selangor R6
Same again, see above…
BET: 2 units ew
Shutter
Armidale R7
Spruiked and supported on debut last May, totally missed the start, green as you like bit flew home late to earn a next-time flag. Repeated that performance to run a closer fifth with another huge finish before heading to the paddock. Resumed a month ago after a 282 day spell, and finished nicely for fourth, then duly obliged 22 days ago at odds-on to break maidens. Can go on with it as $3.50 fav here with JPH sticking…
BET: 10 unit win
Gold Tracker
Gundagai R9
A plethora of these today, one win in twenty, out of sorts but capable of better, needs to lift. $13 on offer…
BET: 3 units ew
Mombasa, Alterno
Geraldton R6
The push out to the mile worked for Mombasa 17 days ago as he flashed won for a nice win, but goes back to the 1400m today. Winning hoop sticks, chance at $8, watch late!
Alterno is yet another one out of form, though his run for second was a big improvement at BM64, so rates an EW shot at $24.
BET: M 4 units ew, A 3 units ew, could fill exotics…
