Slim, pickings…

Couple of late scratchings took us down to 22 from the book yesterday, but it was a pretty lean day for us, with just the one winner and four placings…

On to a quieter Sunday where we have eight from the book, let’s see if we can redeem ourselves…

We’ve been frustrated with the last two rides on this fella, Dell had him way too far off the pace as he powered home 17 days ago and the time before that. Up to 2140m today looks ideal, and surely they’ve learned from those errors, which should make him hard to beat as $3.30 fav.

On the same day, M Hudson showed how to do it at the same T&D, reversing some previous poor form to get up for us at nice odds, a repeat of that will have her in the mix, $7 on offer.

Had been progressing well until a month ago but struggled from a poor draw here last time out. Better drawn today and up to the 1400m sees him in with a chance in this at $8.

Same story as the above two, he was both drawn badly and went back early, powering home late for second. Waller is keen on his chances up to the mile, and Jye sticks, but still needs to manage another wide draw, but if he finds a nice spot, he shapes as a real threat in this very open betting race at $6.50.
