2-3-2-4
We had 27 tips after scratchings yesterday, and a mixed bag of results, with 2 winners, 3 seconds, 2 thirds and 4 fourths.
Winners were Mascarinto (6 unit win, $4.30) plus the recommended 10 unit quinella with Sans Doute ($5.90), and Blazing Tycoon (5 units ew, $6.50/$1.80) who’s really hit form this prep.

Eleven from the book today, and some very good prospects…
Leg’s Eleven today…
GIVEHERAGO, HENRY HUBBER
Southland RC, 4
Consistent without really threatening this prep ($5.00 today), has a few lengths to make up on fav Henry Hubber ($2.80) for only a half kilo weight gain, and it’s significant that jockey Montes Oca elects to ride HH. Leaning to the fav in this small field, but include both in exotics.
BET: HH 10 unit win, G 3 unit win, exotics
LA OPCION
Southland RC, 7
Tough one this, vet issues last run after previous good form, and presents as $4.50 second fav, just a bit concerned about her lack of form on heavy. At $4.40/$2.00 best go EW.
BET: 5 unit ew
ROYAL FOX
Hamilton, 8
Finished well last time at Ballarat, just missing the frame, but Yendall sticking is a plus, and I think he finds to right race to things back on track as the $2.70 fav, and should be too good for this lot… He’ll be descending late!
BET: 10 unit win
MONDENA
Hamilton, 9
Here’s one for the optimists, 922 days since this lad ran, went in our book August 2020 with a big run from last to finish second then came out an won twice for us in four runs before heading off to the paddocks, obviously with some issues, but resumes here with a new stable, and maybe he’s today’s sleeper at $34…
BET: 3 units ew
C’MON AND LOVE ME
Mudge, 5
Stats not too bad, but not sure she’s ready first up after 7 months away. $18 on offer…
BET: 2 units ew
RAGING RUSH, REMUS
Mudgee., 6
RR massive from the back when winning in Feb then following up for us at Quirindi 11 days later. Stepped up to the 1400m next but did little, expecting better today at $6. Remus is back after almost 5 months, looks like he’ll need this run as a $13 shot.
BET: RR 5 units ew, R 2 units ew
DESERT NYMPH
Pinjarra, 9
We spruiked her up last time, after she was spotted blocked for a run in Feb and noted. Finished well from the back to win at $6 for us. Up in grade a touch and in distance, which should suit at $6.
BET: 5 units ew
JOLTIN’ JOE (Di Maggio)
Sale, 7
Back-marker who’s not suited by the tight Moonee Valley track (although he was won for us there at odds) but also won at Sandown for us three back at $13. Will need to be closer in the run, and is capable of unleashing late. $34 seems very generous…
BET: 3 units ew
OH NO MIKKI
Wagga, 7
Been a while since him won, but wasn’t far off on resumption, running on late for fourth, and does have reasonable stats for this. $6.50 in a very open betting race, don’t dismiss him…
