Boomshanka!!
A double-hattrick for us yesterday as SIX of our 30 tips won, that’s a 20% winning strike rate for those of you that can’t operate a calculator, and with four seconds, six thirds and a fourth, that’s a frame rate of over 56%!!
And not only odds-on favs for PG, but some Hall of Famers:
Pride of place goes to Gee String (3 units ew), Lisa taking him to the front and powering home at $15.00/$3.40.
Velocious produced a withering burst to get home at $3.60, December cleaned them out at $1.50 as expected, Haaracaine continued his romp through the grades, paying a juicy $6.80/$2.50, Kiwi Jimmysstar was rated to a superb win under Craig Williams at $2.30, definitely a horse going places… Seiryu completed a great day with a dominant win at $2.80.
Places went to Poetic Champion (ND), Polygon ($3.30), Aromatic ($1.30), Recommendation ($2.40), Midnight In Tokyo ($1.00), Luna Cat ($2.30), Gregolimo ($1.80), Baltic Coast ($1.90), Fighting Arrow (ND), and our old warhorse Abb Roy, running second at $1.90 in her 144th race!
Back to the usual quieter Sunday, with just three today…
Three on Sunday…
FLYING FINCH
Swan Hill, 8
Only two wins from his 17 runs to date and resumes from a 5 month spell today as $4.80 second fav, but this is his distance and he has placed three times first-up. He can’t afford to get back though in this dash for cash, but worth an EW shot at that price…

FRANKIE’S ME DAD
Newcastle, 1
Not shown much this prep, just an even fourth in the heavy last time out, and I suspect she’ll welcome the firmer ground today. A win and a third here in both runs, and 1 from 1 over this longer distance, she’s a chance here in this small field in an open betting race as a $4.20 shot…

TANTRUMS
Sunshine Coast, 5
She’s a former Kiwi who went in the book on debut in Aus in January this year, finishing well from the back and earning a “watch” flag. Would be fair to say that she has not lived up to that recommendation since, her only win was on debut at Hastings in July last year on the heavy track. Not a noted frontrunner but drops back to the 1000m today, and let’s face it, she’ll be our biggest winner if she gets up at $126…
