Sunday 24th March 2024
33%
Two winners, three seconds, a third and two fourths gave us a 33% dividend strike rate yesterday.
Pride of place, and a place in the Hall of Fame, went to Eternal Flame (5 units ew) who stepped up to the G2 Sunline and stormed home at $10.30/$2.30 for us.
Daytona Bay (10 unit win), duly obliged at Eagle Farm as expected, paying $2.00.
Places for Mali Ston ($3.10), Artful Tawny ($1.80), Papillon Club ($2.20), Boldinho ($2.00) and fourths for Asfoora and Baltic Coast.
A quieter Sunday with featuring four very worthy EW shots, EW Yank recommended…
Sunday’s Fantastic Four…
ARDEE BOY
Tauherenikau, 3
Won his debut in fine style on heavy going when well-supported, then jumped quickly in grade including a third before heading to the paddock. Resumes after 143 days, he won’t mind it wet, and he’s a genuine chance at $4.80 in a tight betting race.

KOOL BIRD
Goulburn, 3
Noted in August screaming home for second at Wagga then ran fourth here a month later before going for a break. Resumes after 184 days and back to the 1000m she favours. Gets J Ford up top, and rates an EW punt at $15…

TURBEAU
Bairnsdale, 7
Improved run at Pak 24 days ago, finishing well for third for us at SP $19 over the mile where he’s 5:0-3. He’s another good EW shot in another tight betting field, just $4 covering the top seven horse in betting.

TANTRUMS
Sunshine Coast Synthetic, 6
Former Kiwi going round at big odds lately but edging closer with a fourth and a third in her last two. Goes round as the $17 outsider in this small field, but do not discard as she has a win in her, and this would a great day to prove it!
