A scratching and an abandoned meeting reduced us to 18 from the book yesterday, resulting in a winner, two seconds, three thirds and a fourth, with Deepfloat Diva our sole success, though we had a big dividend from the second-placed I Am The Empire, paying $8.50 the place…

Resumes after a close second in a trial recently, hard to beat back at this level, she’ll be fast out the gates in this dash for cash, $2.60 fav.

Buoyant won two back at Riccy but couldn’t back that up a week later. Has won on heavy, $9 outsider in another open race.

Frontrunner in his early career who’s not shown much this prep, and has not been as prominent this time round… Only win was on debut, albeit a gritty on-pace victory at Sandown over two years ago. Will need to improve to figure at $13.

GP resumed from an 88 day spell 16 days ago, he showed massive acceleration to score here in December but failed to fire when seemingly suited up to the mile at Randwick in a tougher Highway race. Returned in late Jan and flew home to seemingly to win only to get nicked on the line, then ran a sixth same T&D. Will be fitter after that resuming run and is 3:1-1 second-up, definite EW bet at $10.
We had Shutter to use the rise to the mile to his advantage under Jake Pracey-Holmes 20 days ago, but with 600m to go and a long third-last, it was looking pretty unlikely, but he unleashed a massive finish to get up on the line at $3.60, fully justifying our 10 unit win recommendation. Would have liked to see her out further, but JPH sticks, and is also a real EW shot in this, also at $10.
