Four winners and a 50% strike rate!

Four winners, three seconds, six thirds and three fourths from our 32 tips gave us a super 50% strike rate yesterday!

Stand-out winners were What You Wish For (5 units ew) with a great steer by C Grylls, relishing the push out to 2000m as we suggested, to win at a juicy $7.10/$2.30.

Rise At Dawn (5 units ew)continued where he left off last campaign with a classy win under Mickey Dee, paying $4.70/%1.90.

Age of Sail (5 units ew) was well-supported, and we liked his chances third-up, and so it proved as he got up for us at $4.40/$1.90, anchoring us to a nice $2200 trifecta to boot!

And good old Bold Type (10 unit win), short course specialist, gave us a murmur or two over the 950m scamper before prevailing by a long neck at $2.30.

Just the three today, but all very well supported in early markets, it’s a Sunday Trixie for us!!

Hobart R6 – 6.15pm

Resuming from a two month spell after winning this T&D in a stronger grade with a dominant win. &D stats for this excellent and he’s 114:4 first-up, obvious one to beat as $3.50 in what is a very even betting race at this point…

Port Macquarie R7 – 6.45pm

Noted in early Jan with a tough finish here to get up and win. Ben Looker stuck for the next one three weeks later for another win, and while he moves up a grade again, there’s no reason think he won’t cope with it as the $4.80 second fav.

Real Gun

Benalla R7 – 6.55pm

He’s a touch hit or miss but the win two back at Echuca was smart, and wasn’t far off 10 days ago when running fourth. Will be up around the pace and can be saved up for a final effort, $6 on offer.
