Sixteen return a dividend…
Another early abandonment yesterday as New Plymouth lasted only three races.
We found two winners, four seconds, five thirds and five fourths in a busy day.
Winners were Raziah, resuming after 105 days and winning a recent trial, paying $8.40/$2.30.
The other was Deepfloat Diva, who’s started stringing together some decent form, paying $2.60.
Places for Cork, Baraqiel, Headwall, First Settler, Berkshire Breeze, Antino, Eaglelou, Marble Nine, Set The Sails, and fourths for Rediener, Unflinching, Far Too Easy, Talk Time and Symphony Of Colour.
Early heads-up, race 1 at Te Rapa, Ridgeview Chief, need to lift, 2 units ew.

Has been inconsistent since his debut win, got winning jockey back onboard when resuming 23 days ago, and had trialled well under that rider, and ran a close fourth. Will be fitter for that, nice chance in a small field at $3.50.

Resumes from a five month break after running near last, but previous form was sound. Another probably needing the run, and another with a late finish, $26 on offer.

Compelling Truth

Faded to fifth two back after winning four in a row by an accumulated 20 lengths. Back in grade 15 days ago and duly spanked ‘em, must go in again as $2.15 fav, does push out to 1300m but can lead all the way.

Another capable of a big finish, but does drop back to the 1800m today. Pretty consistent type, so rates an EW punt at $11.
