Two winners…
An unusually lean Saturday for us, with just two winners, a third and two fourths…
Testify Me (5 units ew) backed up his St Leger win with a fine win at Otaki, paying $3.10.
Then we had to wait until the last at Bendigo for Chorlton Lane (8 unit win) resuming from a break and we had him to beat the other fancied runner in Extratwo, and despite a betting drift, he hammered home to win beautifully, and looks like he heading for a decent campaign, $3.80 the reward there. We also suggested a 10 unit quinella with these two, and that paid a very nice $5.90…
A third for Mollynickers, she’s proving a bit costly for punters recently, plus fourths for The Grey Goose and C’est Magique.
Eleven from the book on a busy Sunday, and a couple we are VERY keen on at nice odds!
Eleven from the book…
AQUILIFER
Te Rapa, 5
She’s in fine form this prep, Jasmine jumps off and Wazza jumps on, stats are great, looks value at $11 in this.

QUEEN SARABI
Te Rapa, 7
She was in career-best form in Aug-Sept last year but hasn’t done anything in her last six runs. Resumes today back in grade and back in distance, no first-up form, will need to improve from the back to figure in this as the $23 outsider.

VISTOWN
Te Rapa, 8
Two breaks have meant only one run since June last year, when she ran a fast-finishing fifth here. Has won first-up, Jasmine sticks, chance if she settles close and is ready to roll. $10 on offer.

SIR BOO
Grafton, 8
Caught the eye resuming here in October after 446 days away, winning from dead last at odds. A similar finish at Taree produced a third before stepping up in grade at Randwick under McEvoy over longer before two more tidy runs here including another fast finish under this jockey when he flashed home for fourth, earning a next-time flag. He duly obliged as was backed in from $7.50 into $3.30, and parked nicely in the run like we wanted, before he poured it on the final turn and put them away with the finishing burst we know he has. Loves it here, up in distance not a problem and winning jockey sticks, 47 on offer, easy EW punt.

THE AWESOME SON
Pakenham, 2
Back over the jumps today and back from city racing. Has placed at around the 2 mile distance, so chance in this small field at $6.50.
BET: 5 unit win
RAGING RUSH
Wellington, 5
Back from BM82 where he ran a tidy third at Dubbo after an all the way win at Quirindi a couple of weeks earlier. Jockey is 6:3-2, loves the distance and can give them something to catch if he jumps well, as he usually does. Open betting race, and he’s right in this at $5.50.

GORUSH LIGHTNING
Wellington, 8
He was in good form up till August then went for a 3 month break. Returned in Nov with a poor last of nine at Gundagai before another spell and resumes today after 149 days. Tidy stats despite that, EW at $34.

LITTLE RICH BOY
Bordertown, 4
Seven year old veteran who’s in solid form this prep. Drops a touch in grade for this, will need to get across smartish, but can win this as $2.60 fav.
BET: 5 unit win
MOSCOW RED
Terang, 8
Another veteran, last win 18 months ago, has good stats at the distance, grade and going, but will need to away a bit quicker to figure in this at $61.
