Three winners, two Hall of Famers!!
We were bang-on with Karman Line (5 units ew) when we suggested that if La Crique was not quite ready then our lad could take it out, and that he did at $11.00/$3.10. We also gave you the quinella between these two (10 units) which came in nicely at $9.70).
En Francais (4 units ew) was the big payer, she ran fifth in a G2 two weeks back and the drop to G3 proved just right. Super T&Ds and a 74% career place record made us think she was a bargain at $18, and that’s what she got home at, $4.50 the place.
Guerite (10 unit win) produced a big run on debut behind the impressive La Pleine Lune, and although 9 lengths off had plenty over the rest. Came out as the $3.30 fav and gapped them at Donald, more to come from both these horse we suspect!
Other than that it was places for Ramones ($1.70), Tara Jasmine ($1.70), Midnight In Tokyo ($2.05), and Enrico ($2.80), with fourths for Such A Whit, Symphony Of Colour and Goldman.
Just the two on a more sedate Sunday, both at Ballarat in the late qadi…

She went in the book when effortlessly breaking maidens here in October, then quickly went on to G3 and G1 races before heading to the paddock. Resumed in March with much expectation but has been a touch ordinary, racing well but not finishing them off. Comes back to the 1400m today, should suit his forward style, gets Jonny Allen up top, just hope it’s not too soft for her, but expecting her to improve here at $5.

This lad went in the book back in Aug 21 with a dominant display and has produced intermittent wins since. Resumed 16 days ago after a 257 day spell, needed that run over the too-short mile at Ararat, but while he’s won here, his other stats are pretty ordinary. Back to the 2000m will suit for sure, but needs to pull his socks up as $61 outsider, will be arriving late…
