Three winners, a second, two thirds and two fourths after a couple of non-runners at the abandoned Gold Coast meeting, that left us with a 45% strike rate!
Enrico (5 units ew) got us off to a great start in the second at Trentham, well back and produced right on time to win at $4.20/$1.75.
More Likely (3 units ew) we felt was better placed to improve on recent poor form, and so it proved with a nice $5.50/$2.00 win.
And good old Fox Gem (3 units ew) produced his usual superb late run, from dead last, to surge through for a brilliant win at $7.00/$2.40, and anchoring us to a share of a juicy $4K plus trifecta..
Places for Ruler Rocket (wow, $8.90 the place!!), Newfoundland ($1.85), Joyful Fortune ($2.00, first run after 800 days, gonna win soon!) plus fourths for Aegon and Regal Lion.

MZ was been close up in three runs, she’s tidy but may have to settle for a place again here at $7.50.

Impressive on debut in April this year, then ran third next race at Flemington. Ran eighth in a G3 at Caulfield after a break, then returned to Te Rapa after another break a month ago to run a close second. Jumped in grade here on Boxing Day but boy did he deliver, getting up in the tightest of finishes to deadheat, but won it on protest. McNab sticks, up 100m, we’re all over him as $3.00 second fav.
