Three winners and some nice place odds…
Three winners, six seconds, two thirds and four fourths yesterday, but a sense of frustration with one of our top tips…
Pearl of Alsace fell out of the gates, but there seemed ample time to get her up into the race. Still 10 lengths off round the final bend and screamed home for second.
Despite that, or maybe because of it, she’s now come in from $17 to $9 for the Arrowfield, so worth an EW antepost punt.
Winners for us were Tokyo Tycoon (10 unit win, $1.90), imperious in the way of his victory, and surely bound for bigger things…
Recommendation (10 unit win( was predictably all the rage, winning at $1.50, and Pinstriped (4 units ew) produced a fantastic rails run to get up at $7.20/$2.30.
Some nice odds placegetters in De Sonic Boom ($5.50), our little pocket rocket The Inevitable steamed home paying $3.80 the place, Sacred Kiwi ($2.60) and Cool Encounter ($4.10).
Others included Foxy Femme ($1.40), Teentee ($1.10), and Desert Nymph ($1.20).

Won 2 from 2 last prep, looking good while doing it… Two runs this prep haven’t reproduced that form, steps up in distance today, down in grade, and he has 3 wins from 5 here, $3.40 fav, can bounce back…

Gets back and capable of a decent finish, so extra 200m should help, $7.50 shot.

Went into the book 364 days ago with a huge win from the back. Has been contesting races in much higher grades than this, and is 3:2-0 first-up. May be a touch sharp for her, but is another with an EW chance if she’s ready to roll… $7.50 on offer.

Down in grade where she’s won before, and she goes well here, chance as second fav at $3.90.
