Nice ride for the win…
A pleasure to see a horse ridden to perfection as Free Spirit (5 units ew) was yesterday. Timed his run to perfection after the big odds win three weeks back, and he duly got up for us at $7.30/$2.10.
Still looking at the photo, and can’t believe Carribean King (5 units ew) didn’t win that, placing second at $1.80 after a gallant run. He’s so knocking on the door, a win is overdue…
And our roughie in Devine Miss finished fast from the back, almost grabbing a place at decent odds and running fourth. There’s a win in the offing soon for this girl too…

Long, long time since she won her only race of 28, drops back to the BM65 and gets out over a bit more ground, but really needs to find better form to figure in this at $15, though there is spruiking for her from some quarters, so keep safe…

Nicely timed run to score here a month ago by 3.3 lengths, up in grade obviously but can handle the rise, and I like him as a $7.50 chance.

Been a while since ZZ won, but he’s improved each time in his three runs this prep, and we had him marked as a next-time after the latest run for second, EW at $8. The run two back by Takeiteasy at this grade was excellent for the win but the next run at BM75 was ordinary. EW at $8.50.

TIDAL RUSH
Te Rapa, 8
Showed a bit of form last prep but not going well enough in recent runs to back with much confidence. $34 on offer.

Both these at $26, and not showing much, would give Vasmee the slightly better chance.

SAW and GM should provide the quinella here, both of them showing outstanding form. SAW should start as fav around $3.60 with GM losing the last two wins in the Billy Pinn débâcle. She’s an $8 shot here. Boldinho resumes as a $10 shot, EW chance
