BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A late scratching reduced us to nine from the book yesterday, but that didn’t stop us!
Three cracking winners, starting with Electric Evie (3 units ew). Her from had dropped somewhat in the last two races but she got to the front as she usually does and saw it out with some style, backed in from $9.50 to $4.60/$1.50.
Sweysive (10 unit win) was coming at the race from another direction, up in grade and looking to make it a hattrick, and he won in similar style with a dominant display. We got $3.20 early in the piece and he was backed right in to $2.00.
And at the Valley, we had three in race four, and Unflinching (3 units ew) resumed with superb all-round stats and got up at a juicy $9.60/$2.80, with Oak Hill second. We suggested exotics, and we hit the jackpot there, the quinella paying $13.90 and the tri $1251!
In addition, Underhand ran second, with Trobriand a third and Puketiro a fourth.
That’s almost 78% of our blackbookers finishing in the frame, with a 33% win strike rate!!

Shamus produced a better run four weeks back for second in a small field. Will try and lead all the way, but this is a step up as $81 outsider…

Open betting race with BB resuming and he’s massively consistent. Ended last prep with a tried-looking last in the Caulfield Cup but previous form very sound. He’s had a couple of jumpouts and M Zahra is a plus, will go close as $5 second fav.
BC throws the odd win in and rates an EW shot in this at $8.00

Resumes, has a nice first-up record and Benny Allen has had plenty of success onboard. T&Ds are smart, nice EW chance at $21.

Unbeaten in three, going through the grades nicely and will try to dominate as usual from the front. Another race in two but we’ll stick with Puntin as $3.30 second fav.

Gritty win on debut and added to it next time plus a couple of placings at G1 and G2. Resumes after a 126 day spell, 2:2-0 first-up, has trialled twice, like her at $5.50 in this.

Even though we were a touch concerned about the heavy going last time out at Rosehill, Sunchyme led them a merry dance with an eyecatching win at $12, so the drop back to 1200m should suit based on that. Up in grade but must keep safe at $13…
Rumours Abound bled on Boxing Day and we suggested she could bounce back and she certainly obliged 13 days ago with a powerful finish to win with something in hand at a nice $3.80. $23 shot here, include.
