Two winner and four places…
A nice Friday, with two winners, three seconds and a fourth from our ten tips!
We spruiked up Kattegat (5 units win), even at the $8.80 mark in a small field, he’d tried to lead all the way in his past three but just got nicked, however back to his fav distance he tried it again and they never got near him!
Royal Fox has a wicked finish on him, and it was only a matter of time before he won again, and with Billy Egan back onboard, he gave ‘em no chance, the 8 unit win wager rewarding us with a $3.30 dividend.
Drift Net is caught in a series of runner-ups, paying $1.40 yesterday, but a win is not far away.
Makbeel (3 units ew) won at big odds for us resuming, couldn’t quite do it again yesterday but ran a nice second for us at a juicy $3.90.
Bullet Wing (4 units ew) was back from a couple of disappointing runs, and back from city grade, and just got nicked in a blanket finish, running second at $1.50.
Kool Bird ran fourth at odds, more to come we feel…

Resumed from an 805 day spell a month ago, needed the run and over too short a distance but not far away. Expected improvement didn’t eventuate 14 days ago as he trailed in last at Tauranga. Gets out to the mile today, dropping to BM65, lowest he’s been for some time and he won in this grade then, however, he doesn’t get his preferred heavy going, and he’s 0 from 6 on good… $17 on offer, small ew wager today, his time will come this winter…

He’s a big striding horse, the win in December was impressive. Not sure what happened last time out, fading away late, but this is his fav distance and jockey, just not sure he likes it wet at all… $8.50 today

Won three of his first four and been right around the mark in higher grades than this, and not too far off Orchestral in his last three. Will run fav here, $2.20 on offer at the mo, picking he’ll have far too much for these…

Backed in from $41 to $10 this T&D 21 days ago and ran a close third. Tougher here, but an open betting race, ew at $14.

Blew ‘em away at MV end of Dec, resumed here three weeks ago under Kah as odds-on fav and faded late. That seems to have frightened off most tipsters, we’re willing to give her another shot, $4.20 fav.

MR two good runs this prep, likes the distance, value at $9. DOH resumes well down in grade, this is well short of his best, will need the run as $81 outsider.

Same story as DOH, resumes as $101 outsider, will need the run, too short, though he’s won at this distance before.

Be careful at Randwick today, heavy 9, so will need to be taken into account for all tips…
TY bolted in Feb last year and not been far off in subsequent runs. Step up for him but has placed at G3. Front-runner and up to the mile, so will need to be ridden carefully, but $34 looks generous.
The interest here is in Kiwi horse Witz End’s first go in Aussie, Waller’s no mug, JMac up top, say no more… $4.60 fav

Got to the front at Tamworth 27 days ago, and they couldn’t catch him. Loves this distance though up in grade. $15 on offer.

A succulent Chinese meal (or two) awaits if Democracy Manifest can repeat his heroics of three weeks ago for us, when he blazed home for a superb win at Rosehill. Another Waller horse, up in grade, but has won 2 from 4 on heavy.
RS won a G3 two back but this will test him, $26 on offer.
Fav will be hard to beat, going for 5 in a row, also won on heavy…
