A nice return…
A big drop in grade saw Gentileschi resume with a very nice win paying just the $2, a bit more if you got on early.
An encouraging run from Splash Landing, got back early but steamed home for fourth, really looking for a bit further, she’s under notice for next time…

Been going consistently this prep and rarely far away. Tends to get back in the run so watch for her late, $6.50 on offer.

EC drops back to grade where he last won, tidy stats and placed 5 from 6 on heavy going, rates a decent EW shot at $9.50 in an open betting race.
Dajieda resumes from a huge 518 day break, his debut third was followed up with a well-supported win at Taupo before his last run in a Listed race. Has trialled twice recently, winning under today’s jockey, so worth a close watch, $12 on offer.

Noted last month here flashing home from near-last for third, earning a next-time tag, but failed to follow up 7 days ago running a long last in the heavy. Should be better suited on the synthetic, she can bounce back here at $8.50.

Smart Little Miss, Rumours Abound

SLM noted 17 days ago with a huge run from the back to make it two from two this prep beating Symphony of Colour. Progressing through the grades nicely and moves up again, plus the rise to 1100m will suit, hard to beat at $3.30, can beat this fav.
RA ran as an unexpected favourite 16 days ago and got nicked on the line. Not sure the rise to 1100m will suit , $12 outsider in a small field.

Symphony Of Colour

Resumed 17 days ago from a six month spell, won well on debut then went to some higher grade races immediately and didn’t disgrace herself at all. Won her two recent trials, and ran a close second to Smart Little Miss, watch how she goes, could frank the farm, EW shot at $8.50.

The run in May at the Hillside in Open class was top notch, screaming home from last to run second, his fourth in six runs, then ran fourth at Sale before heading to the paddock. Resumed in December at the Valley and steamed home for third. Finally broke maiden status a month back after eight places in ten runs, and this is a jump in grade, hence the $23. EW in this…

Getafix resumed from a 4 month spell 14 days ago, with just the one run last prep for a fast-finishing third. Gritty win on debut and added to it next time plus a couple of placings at G1 and G2. Never figured 14 days ago at Randwick but will have taken benefit from the run, back to G3 level at rates an EW shot in this at a juicy $21.
